As a renewable energy project developer startup , Direct Energy Giving (DEG) has developed a solar PV public-private partnership project with investment interest in Liberia, West Africa. The project is titled Governance Health Education Energy Access (GHEEA), and aims to transition fossil fuel generation of electricity in Government’s run facilities delivering productive services in local governance structures, healthcare and educational institutions to solar PV generating systems. The twofold outcomes are 1. Create/Increase sustainable energy access at these institutions and 2. Contribute to fulfillment of the Government’s Paris Agreement’s Nationally Determined Contributions commitments of 10% GHG emission reduction and 30% renewable energy footprint by 2030.
